Here is just a quick explanation about the Volks-rod style, which can also incorporate a bit of the Rat-look:
-Chopped roof.
-No front guards and sometimes no rear guards either.
-Front suspension moved forward.
-Lowered suspension.
-Vintage wheels.
-Engine is sometimes left without an engine lid/cover.
